Updaing Loan Specifics after Title Commitment Done

If you create a Title Commitment, then make any changes like - RE Tax Info, Borrower Name, Loan Amount - none of the text descriptions get updated if you pull another title commitment. You have to manually change them on the Text screen once again. So basically you have to update twice. Per e-closing they told me:

We currently have a ticket to our Advanced support team to work on a way to get the text description screen to update with the changes made in the program, loan amount, borrower name, etc. While that is being worked on, you will have to restore exceptions, requirements for those to update. As well as using the pencil on page 1 of the commitment and policies to edit loan amounts, names, etc.

    Hi Tami

I just sent you an email to troubleshoot this directly, instead of on the Ideas Portal.

Hello Alyssa - it SHOULD update automatically - but it is not currently updating automatically. I made a change to a name, which would affect Schedule A - and it did not update there when I pulled the new title commitment. I made changes to name, loan amount and RE Taxes on 1 file, and nothing got updated on the new title commitment I pulled. I had to go in and use the pencil to mannually change everything all over again.

We also would like to make a slight update in that you should not need to update items on Schedule A of the Commitment as this page always updates when information in the file changes, unless you use the pencil to manually change the information. You should only need to use Restore on Exceptions and Requirements.

We hope this information is helpful too.
